Happiness is a provocative word which brings up different emotions for people. The term happiness is often used without us understanding the true meaning behind it. We speak about being happy at work and life, and link it to a dose of fate or good luck. Colloquially happiness is equated to joy, smiles, laughter and feeling good which indeed it is, but happiness has a much deeper, serene and more fulfilling meaning. Everybody wants to be happy in life and you have the right as well as the choice to be exactly that.
Happiness has been coined the currency of fulfilment which makes it very attractive to own and share with others. We forget that happiness is not a goal or a final destination to ever achieve, but a life process of transforming to well-being. We think if I have “That” then I will be happy. Then “That” arrives and boom we are not happier. So then it must be something else which makes us happy, but what?
