Leadership Coaching
Personalised coaching to develop leaders and managers who inspire and guide their teams to success
Focus on future possibilities, not past regrets.
Few people can honestly say that they are already performing at the top of their game. Having a coach can help you improve, grow, develop, and prosper. A coach is your personal change agent who partners with you, cheers you on when needed, stretches you to think more broadly, challenges your thinking, assists you to discover where you’re stuck, and uncovers what’s holding you back from being your best possible self.
A coach is someone who helps you turn your dreams into goals, collaborates with you to develop an actionable strategy, believes in you, and encourages you to succeed. While coaching may be new for some, it’s one of the fastest-growing and in-demand professions in the world.
So whether you’re a professional athlete, CEO, entrepreneur, leader, business professional, or individual who’s feeling stuck, going through a personal life transition, or needing the space to brainstorm, you’ll need the experience, support, objective perspective and insight of a coach.
What is coaching?
Coaching is a partnership between a client and a coach. Together, we’ll work through daunting challenges or dilemmas. It will be a personal development and growth journey intended to assist you to reach your goals. The focus is on collaboration, positive outcomes, forward-movement, learning, and reaching your potential. Often, it will be about acquiring new skills and competencies or changing habits that will allow you to grow in your personal and professional roles.
The International Coach Federation (ICF)
The International Coach Federation defines coaching as, “Coaching accelerates a person’s progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice. Coaching concentrates on where individuals are now and what they are willing to do to get where they want to be in the future.”
Why hire a coach?
Many of us are in a comfort zone or stuck. We need a neutral and independent person to challenge our thinking, make observations, and give us feedback on behavioural patterns that are holding us back. A coach will hold you accountable, and encourage you to pursue the goals you’ve set for yourself. A coach will champion and celebrate each step of your progress, and believe in you when you aren’t able to do so yourself.
What coaching isn’t
It’s very important to remember that coaching is not giving advice, consulting, counselling, or therapy. It’s about discovering unique solutions to your challenges. You’re the expert of your life, and you know best what works for you and what doesn’t. It’s the coach’s responsibility to assist you by asking questions and making observations, so that you can discover your own solutions and next steps. It’s empowering and intrinsically motivating for you to set your own action items, so it’s critical that you actively co-create your own growth and self-development journey. No one is more qualified than you when it comes to making changes in your life. But a coach could mean the difference between flourishing or staying stuck in your comfort zone.
