Hi there and welcome. It’s Kerstin Jatho here from 4Seeds Consulting, a transformational coach who shifts people from languishing to flourishing. In this video, I want to talk to you about the death of a leader.

If you think about it, leadership is like social media. You’ve continuously got to be relevant, current, up-to-date, and with it. The latest styles, the latest trends. You ever thought about it? But you also have to be authentic.

So, leadership is a lot about humanity. Being human in your style. So that means bringing in empathy, forgiveness, diversity, equality, and a high sense of communication. For leaders to obtain that level, they need to remain open-minded to receive feedback, to look at their strengths that they have, and to work on developing themselves, because they won’t have all the social media skills that they need if we bring it back to that example.

And for the follower, it’s exceptionally exhausting to follow a leader who’s not relevant, with it, or even has any authentic humanity in their leading.

So, to bring in intellectual humility in your leadership, it’s about serving others. Learning what your strengths are, getting feedback, growing others, being people-centred, cultivating trust, reducing your burnout, and increasing your team’s well-being.

So, think about your leadership style. Is it relevant, or does it need a social media upgrade?
